Solar Expo 2017
Site visit to Technopark NURIS – a member of Association of Science Park and Areas of Innovation (IASP). Here all types of renewable energy are tested at the Nazarbaev University in Kazakhstan. Autonomous energy efficient “Urt” or tradition Kazakh house integrated with solar energy, wind energy and geothermal energy built by Nazarbaev University.

Solar Innovations at Exp0 2017 : Future Energy
Expo 2017 Astana with a theme “Future Energy” aimed to create a global debate between countries non-governmental oragnizations, private and public sector.
Over 100 companies, including Zaha Hadid Architects, UNStudio, Snohetta, HOK, and Coop Himmelb(I)au participated in the competition to design the grounds of EXPO 2017.
Finally the Chicago based firm Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS + GG) won the competition for proposed design.
The EXPO globe consist of semi-transparent BIPV in the curved surface. Extraordinar and futuristic architecture.
Singapore’s National Day at Astana Expo 2017
Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Dr Koh Poh Koon and Kazakh Vice Minister of Investments and Development Yerlan Khairov attended the Singapore Day celebration on Tuesday (July 25) at the Astana Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan.
Dr Koh also visited the Astana Solar Park, a solar photovoltaic modules production plant to learn about Kazakhstan’s development in sustainable energy. The Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore led a group of Singapore businesses to explore possible opportunities in Kazakhstan.
